Armored Super Whites

The Super White  bus was produced in 1948 in the USA. The external armor was produced in Israel and added to the outside of the bus to protect the driver, riders and guards from sniper fire along the roads of the country. Busses like this were used to bring supplies and weapons to the besieged city of Jerusalem and Etzion Bloc during Israel's War of Independence. Egged had 125 busses like this which were in use till 1949 (the end of the War).

GMC

The GMC ö Produced in 1949 in the USA. The chassis was made in Israel. It had 37 passenger seats. Egged had 66 busses like this which were in use till 1970.
