| Waterford
Mott High School is located in Waterford, Michigan, USA. Waterford
is situated approximately 30 miles northwest of Detroit. We are basically
a mailing address as we do not have a city or downtown area called Waterford.
There are many subdivisions of various economic levels making up Waterford.
We are surrounded by numerous lakes and are fortunate to have many attractions
close by. For example, The Palace, where the Pistons play, is within
15 minutes of us and Joe Louis Arena, home ice for the Stanley Cup Champion
Detroit Red Wings is less than 1 hour away. While most teenagers
probably would tell you there is nothing to do around here, there are many
places to shop, as well as movie theaters, summer theaters, restaurants
and recreational opportunities. |
| Our
building opened in 1969 with the first graduating class in June of 1970.
In 1983, the school district consolidated high schools and closed Waterford
Township High School. This left two high schools in the district,
Mott and Kettering, In the fall of 1990, 9th graders joined the Mott
student body.
There are approximately 1800 students
attending Mott in grades 9-12. Students are offered a variety of
classes in the four core areas as well as computer science, business, foreign
language, music, art, health occupations, technology, theater, and phys
ed.
Visit our school's
web site to find out more about us. We have an alumni registry
for both Mott and Township, a school calendar, counseling center, department
highlights, and other areas which we change periodically. |
